Pierrot and Harlequin of the 19th century were drawn during the Civil War (probably around 1919). The drawing shows the influence of French caricaturists of the 19th century (Gavarnie, Daumier). It was made with the care of a stage designer. Perhaps these characters will remind some people of the heroes of Nikolay Gogol.
