Sergey drew ‘A House in section’ (in his student’s notebook of 1912–13) with great skill, as a real son of an architect. Inhabitants (some of them are entering the house, others are feasting, still others are fighting) as if participate in the action of the whole film. In the 1920s, having become a director, Eisenstein conceived the film The Glass House: a dystopia framed by the architecture of the future, with action developing on floors with transparent walls and floor. He made a series of sketches for it. The project, unfortunately, was not realized.
