A sheet with hieroglyphs from Eisenstein’s notebook, a student of the Japanese department of the Academy of the General Staff in Moscow. Studies of Japanese coexist with dreams of working in the theater. In the late autumn of 1920, Eisenstein became a designer at the Moscow Proletkult Theater and started drawing the slogans of “theater innovations”.
