The artist precisely depicts the Eskimo life on canvas. In this painting, we can see a section of shore with stands for drying kayaks, which resemble skeletons of prehistoric animals. An Eskimo is walking through the grass with a dog, and two girls are watching the sunset by the water. In Kent’s artwork, the ethnographic motif is prominent. He paints Greenland views seen through the eyes of its ordinary inhabitants.
