An Honored Artist of Russia, Vasily Timofeyevich Losev is a graphic artist and painter, who created narrative works, portraits and landscapes. He was born in the village of Biryuchiy, Voronezh Oblast. Vasily Losev graduated from the Faculty of Painting of the Savitsky Penza Art School in 1957. He studied at the workshop of Mikhail Yemelyanovich Valukin.
After graduating and serving in the army, Vasily Losev came to Voronezh. He was fascinated with his work and made multiple trips all around Russia: the artist visited the Volga region, the Urals, Siberia, Crimea, and the Amur Oblast. He began exhibiting his works in 1959, and his personal exhibitions took place in 1984, 1999 and 2014.
