Among the exhibits of the Napolnaya School Museum in the town of Alapaevsk there is a copy of the graphic sketch of the Cross-shaped Monument to Grand Prince Sergey Aleksandrovich. It was drawn by Victor Vasnetsov who is well-known for his illustrations of folk tales and bylina, Russian epic ballades. He was a friend of the Grand Prince. The original sketch is in the collection of Victor Vasnetsov House Museum.
Charcoal was used to draw on cardboard. Some fragments were painted with water colour. The face side and the back side of the monument as well as the picture of the monument rooftop are depicted on the sketch.
