O.E. Kler Sverdlovsk Regional Ethnography Museum possesses the largest museum collection of the Urals. The museum is located in Yekaterinburg and its branches are located in ten cities of the Sverdlovsk region. It was founded in 1870 and for more than 140 years the museum exhibits have been narrating the history, ethnography, art and nature of the Urals. Its exposition embraces the historical period of more than ten thousand years when the first human being appeared on the eastern slope of the Urals and extends to the present days. 
 
The Sverdlovsk Museum Complex is a family of 18 independent galleries and it houses the unique archeological findings and masters art works of all different genres: historical artifacts, arts and crafts of the Urals masters, paintings and sculptures that lift the veil on the history of the conquest of Siberia

Opening hours: Wednesday — Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., holidays: Monday, Tuesday Ticket price for visiting the museum: adult — 120 rubles preferential (pensioners, students, schoolchildren) — 60 rubles. Preschoolers and other preferential categories according to the SOKM price list — for free. Tour price: for adults and students — 400 rubles for beneficiaries (senior citizens, schoolchildren) — 350 rubles

Additional Information
In the building, a monument of Constructivism style, one of the best preserved buildings of the legendary Chekist Town, built in the 1930s, the main stock exposition of the Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore is located. Five floors keep the history of the Urals from ancient times until the beginning of the twentieth century.
