The collection of stone-cutting art of the ‘Gamayun’ Museum Center began in the mid-1990s. Nowadays, it includes the works of several authors, in particular Ramilya Fazleeva. The craftswoman’s works reflect the traditions of the Kungur stone-cutting craft.
The first stone-cutting artel appeared in Kungur in 1932. Craftsmen created small souvenirs from plaster stone: animal figurines, powder boxes, boxes, brooches, photo frames. Four years later, a stone-cutting art school was opened, and in 1943 — a vocational school No. 58, where Ramilya Fazleeva studied.
