In the late 1950s, geological exploration was actively carried out in the region. Siberian researchers received positive results in the search for oil. In 1964, the Soviet leadership set the task of producing the first Siberian oil by the beginning of the navigation season. The main events for the implementation of the decree took place on Sukhoy Bor. The first reservoir was built there by the Kondinsky construction and installation department.

Soviet workers installed flow lines from wells No. 61 and 63, as well as an oil pier, the construction of which was captured by the photographer in the picture, which is presented in the collection of the Uray City Historical Museum. In the spring of 1964, two old steamships arrived from Tyumen: the “Jean Jaurès” and the “Komsomol Member of Altai”. Their cabins were used as a hostel, a building management office, and a club.

The workers managed to cope with the task in time, and on May 22, 1964, the famous tanker TN-652 came to the Sukhobor pier to load oil. Captain Konstantin Fyodorovich Tretyakov was in command of the ship. In the first year, the Shaim oilfield produced more than 64,000 tons of oil. This was a serious bid for the creation of a powerful oilfield base on the Konda River.

Eduard Konstantinovich Zhuravlev became the head of Shaim integrated oil field. It was created in March 1964 and was the first in Siberia. Zhuravlev headed the Shaimneft oilfield department from 1965 to 1967.

On September 9, 2004, the day of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Shaim oil, the historical complex “Sukhoy Bor” of the Trekhozernoye field was opened on the territory of TsDNG-1 (oil and gas production workshop). On the ground of the historical complex, there is a stele, which was installed back in 1982.

This stele is a welded structure made of metal pipes, which was installed on a concrete slab. The entire structure was painted white, only the inscription “Well No. 6, which produced the first industrial oil in Western Siberia” was made in black. At the foot of the stele in the central part of the complex, at the beginning of the Walk of Fame, a capsule was placed with an appeal to those who will work as oilmen 60 years later.
