Lilac Blossom is a work by Konstantin Maximov dealing with one of the most tragic chapters of world history. The canvas depicts a young couple sitting on a bench. The main background is the lush lilac bushes with the sun peering through them in the upper right corner. In the lower right corner, the artist left his autograph.
The young man is wearing a military uniform, the girl is wearing a dark skirt and a bright blue blouse. Their faces are sad, and it’s obvious that they are worried about something. Most likely, the reason for sadness is the coming parting, as well as the loss of relatives and friends in the Great Patriotic War.
