Ponyaga — hunting equipment for carrying provisions (a bag of food, hunting supplies, a pot) and killed game. It is a prototype of a backpack. It is made of curved and interconnected sticks. The main stick is bent in an arc and fastened with a jumper with grooves. A smaller arc is attached to the lower ends of the main arc — sticks. The luggage is attached to a stick and tied to the arcs with a string or a keeper tape.
The ponaga board lies comfortably on the back, completely protecting it from rubbing with any hard objects protruding from the burden. This makes the ponyaga very convenient for carrying, for example, chopped parts of the carcass of a large animal — elk, deer, roe deer and others. It is absolutely safe to carry the sharpest axe in the ponyaga.
The convenience of the ponyaga lies in the fact that the load lies on the back tightly, does not wobble from side to side, and the shoulder straps do not roll off and remain wide and flat. In order for the belts not to diverge to the sides, there is a strap connecting them with a slot on the chest, which is put on a wooden button. A fully equipped ponyaga has a latch for a rifle shoulder strap on the left shoulder, and a belt ring on the back, where the ax handle of the ax needed in the forest is threaded.
