The technology of making a perevyazka is as follows: the base is made of birch bark, felt or other thick cloth. Length — 34 cm, width — 4.5 cm. A piece of red cloth is cut out according to these dimensions, and the lining fabric is stitched to it.
The base of the cloth is embroidered with beads in 4–7 rows in the form of a rectangular frame. The color alternation of beads is white, yellow, white, blue, white, yellow, white. In the middle of the rectangle fine patterns are embroidered. They could be different: a) crosses alternating with mother-of-pearl buttons; b) squares; c) zigzags of yellow and blue beads.
To make the upper part of the headdress, a rectangle of about 30 cm in length and no more than 6 cm in width is cut out of thick cloth. At the bottom, the top of the item is embroidered with beads forming a circle. At the bottom edge, the top is sewn to the base with an inside seam, forming a single piece.
The back of the head is made as follows: an inverted trapezoid of dense cloth and a trapezoid of woolen cloth are cut out according to a template with one centimeter seam allowance. Starting from the center, the occipital part is embroidered with beads.
The assembly of the parts of the headdress is as
follows: the back of the head part is sewn to the front part, consisting of the
base and the top. The inner part is cut out of red chintz, also from three
pieces. First, the inner part is sewn along the lower edge with a blind stitch,
then, slightly tightening, it is sewn along the upper edge. The upper edge of
the headdress is decorated with large beads or beads of white color.
