For the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, artist Vladimir Bukarenko donated his painting ‘March. Edge of the forest’ to the Urazovo Local History Museum, as well as personal documents and photographs, which took a worthy place in the museum’s collection. 

In the painting “March. Edge of the forest” Vladimir Bukarenko depicted early spring.On the canvas you can see how the bright spring sun is shining, the first thawed patches have already appeared, and slender birch trees are reflected in the puddles. The mirror-like surface of the water reflects the sky and the tops of trees, which have not yet woken up from the winter cold. Autumn foliage has not yet been dropped from birches in some places. In the depths, under the gloomy bushes, you can still see a lot of snow, and frost hovers in the air. It is already noticeable that the sun has begun to warm more and the snow shines so brightly in the sun for the last time. All nature froze in anticipation of spring and only birds circling in the cloudless sky.

The colors of early spring are not striking in their brightness, although the sky is depicted in azure-blue shades. The canvas conveys to the audience the joy and expectation of change. The artist achieved this effect due to the fact that he used light colors of paints.
