An outstanding graphic painter and watercolor artist from Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir Rekin was born in 1942 in the town of Gorky (today Nizhny Novgorod). Since the mid-1960s, he has regularly participated in exhibitions on the city, regional and central levels, and in 1975 he was admitted to the Union of Artists of the USSR. Rekin was awarded with Nizhny Novgorod Prize and with the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation for his exceptional achievements in art.
