Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V.I. Surikov is one of the largest art museums in Siberia. It opened in May 1958 as the Krasnoyarsk Regional Art Gallery. In 25 years, it was transformed into the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum, which was named after V. I. Surikov.
Its collection includes over 15 thousand exhibits. The thematic sections of the museum are: Russian art of the 18th — early 20th century, which includes artworks by Vasily Surikov, icons, paintings, drawings and sculptures by Russian artists of the past centuries, art of the 20th — 21st centuries and decorative and applied art: artworks of Russian, Siberian and Krasnoyarsk masters, folk art.
