The permanent exhibition of the Porfiry Krylov Museum in Tula presents approximately 400 paintings and drawings, documents and government awards of the People’s Artist of the USSR Porfiry Krylov.
The exhibition is organized chronologically and allows one to see all the stages of the artist’s journey — from early watercolors, first cartoons and elegant floral still lifes to picturesque European oil landscapes, touching family compositions and anti-war cartoons.
Porfiry Krylov was a member of the Kukryniksy artistic group, whose wartime works earned them worldwide fame. The exhibition has a memorial area which displays works created during the Great Patriotic War, as well as unique documents and photographs.
The exhibition vividly embodies not only the artistic journey and fate of the Russian artist Porfiry Krylov, but also the historical character of the 20th century.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
