Exhibition ‘Gems of Tver Art Gallery collection’ will introduce the museum’s masterpieces to the visitor. The Tver Gallery’s collection incorporated the unique and important masterpieces of Russian and Western European art. Among them are the unique Tver icons of the 14th-16th centuries, Russian sculpture artworks. The collection is especially rich with the Russian portraits of I. Vishnyakov, A. Antropov, F. Rokotov, V. Borovikovsky and landscapes of I. Levitan, K. Korovin, I. Grabar. Western European art is represented with paintings, sculptures, graphic works, and engravings of Italian, French, German, and Flemish schools of the 16th-20th centuries. Among them are the works of L. Korona, S. De Bray, N. Muyart, A. Coypel, K.-J. Vernet. The section of decorative and applied arts is also important and various, it includes objects made of porcelain and glass, Eastern, Russian and European pieces of furniture.
