Taganrog Museum of Architecture and Urbanism is a branch of the Taganrog Museum Group. Eleven halls on two floors of the building feature a large-scale exhibition. It provides a comprehensive overview of the architectural and urban development of Taganrog over time. It also introduces visitors to the daily life of local residents in the 18th–20th centuries.
The exhibition presents Taganrog development plans and projects, as well as models of the fortress, buildings, and other notable structures that have shaped the urban landscape. The exhibition also includes an extensive collection of furniture and items of decorative and applied arts. They reveal various aspects of the everyday life of citizens from various social classes. In total, eleven exhibition halls house over 400 unique artifacts.
The exhibition also
features large-scale wall panels, interactive models, and installation
artworks. The museum uses multimedia, providing additional educational content
for visitors of all ages.
