‘Gems of the collection’ is a collection of valuable samples of domestic painting, icon paintings, sculptures, as well as dinnerware of the 18th-19th centuries. Some of the exhibits presented in the museum were purchased personally by the founder of the museum, Fedor Kovalenko, throughout the years.
The collection introduces the audience to the icons of the Moscow school of icon painting, porcelain sculptures of the oldest Russian factories, sketches by Nicholas Roerich, original paintings by Wasily Kandinsky, Isaac Levitan, Vladimir Borovikovsky, Vasily Tropinin, Lev Lagorio and other famous artists — participants of the art associations ‘World of Art’, ‘Union of Russian Artists’, ‘Blue Rose’, ‘Jack of Diamonds’.
