In the first half of the 1970s Valeriy Kokurin created a large series of works with lightened delicate color palette. The artist preferred bluish-pink color scheme, used big brushes, increased format of his works.
The author’s painting style became more sweeping,
bold, energetic. Mother-of-pearl shades and smooth color transitions appeared
in his pictures. In some pictures he combined several shades in one brush
stroke applying paint to canvas.
