Even in medieval Europe, the owners of street-stand, shops, and pharmacies, set out something unusual, for example, stuffed exotic animals, to attract as many customers as possible. People believed that the body parts of such animals had healing properties. Stuffed crocodiles were often hung out in pharmacies, and reptile organs were used to make medicines. It was believed that this gave medicines additional magical functions.
The size of the flea is 2 millimeters; the length of each horseshoe is 5 micrometers. There are three tacks on each of the four horseshoes. All elements are made of 999 gold.
In total, the master Nikolai Aldunin created about a hundred works. Among them are the T-34/85 tank, located on a horizontal cut of apple corn, Mosin rifle of three-eighths of an inch caliber on rice grain, an AKM-47 automatic rifle mounted across a match, and many others. The craftsman created all his micro art from pure gold. According to him, a microscopic part made of any other metal could get rusty very quickly. Nikolai Aldunin died in 2009, but his works are now housed in many Russian museums.
