A representative of the Leningrad art school in the Murmansk region, Nikita Dukhno painted a series of emotionally-charged works, reflecting a laconic philosophical view of the world around him. In his works, Nikita Rostislavovich constantly changed the point of view, the angle, but his interest in depicting battles, dramas, picnics, and night walks was constant.
Since 1992, Dukhno has been engaged in advertising and graphic design. He designed the trademarks of the Murmansk Regional Art Museum, the Regional Center for Artistic Crafts, the Lapland Biosphere Reserve, the Murmansk Regional Council of Trade Unions, the Paz cascade of hydropower stations, the Murmansk Regional Philharmonic Society, the “Radost” and “Spolohi” dance ensembles, the Kirov House of Culture, the “Ledokol” club, and the company “ArtikOil”.
Designer and graphic artist for the “Pazori” publishing house. In 2005, he developed an illustrated biography guide “Murman Artists”, and in 2006 — a commemorative photo album “Hello, Dear City!” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the city of Murmansk.
In the work “Navigation Range Markers”, as in many others, the artist explores his interests in form, cohesiveness, colors, lines, and those color and graphic events that take place in the painting. His painting are distinguished by compositional conciseness, emotionality, expressiveness, and the search for one’s own way.
