Naughty Girl comes from the collection of paintings of the Strugovshchikov family, who lived in Chudovo of Novgorod District before the revolution and whose head was the famous poet and translator Aleksandr Nikolayevich Strugovshchikov. There is only general knowledge of the collection of paintings from the house of Strugovshchikov.
The picture Naughty Girl by A.A. Bobrov was transferred on April 30, 1925 to the collection of the Novgorod Governorate Museum and was on display at the Museum of Ancient and New Russian Art until 1941. The picture, along with other artistic values, was taken out by the Germans during the city’s occupation of 1941—1944. On the right side of the subframe, there remained occupation marking – a rectangular sticker with the inscription in black ink “Novgorod”. In 1948, the painting was returned to the museum.
