The artist’s solo exhibitions were arranged in Murmansk, Luleå, Gällivare (Sweden) and in other cities and countries.
Anatoly Grigorievich is a representative of a realistic, academic style. He worked in the techniques of printed and easel graphics, watercolors and painting. The artist’s style is distinguished by its special softness and cohesiveness. In the Murmansk region, he was one of the few masters of etching, that is engraving on metal.
The artist said the following about his native land: “The Kola land excites me, it is close to me like no other.” He has depicted all seasons in his art, but the autumn nature has been more dear to the artist. Each of his landscapes has its own character and its own mood.
In the foreground of the painting “The First Snow” is a figure of an artist, who sits with his back to the viewer in front of an easel. A white hare perched next to the artist on the newly fallen snow. Despite bare trees and quite a gloomy cloudy sky, which is so typical for late autumn in the Kola North, the landscape does not cause depression — it is filled with silence and peace.
