For a long time, Fyodor Tyutchev did not sign his literary works with his own name. The poems were published under the pseudonym “Mr. F.T.” “Strange things happen in our literature, ” wrote a young critic Valerian Maikov in this regard, noting that the poems of the author, who signed himself as F.T., had been practically forgotten over time. Only in 1854, the “Sovremennik” journal initiated the publication of the first collection of Tyutchev’s poems, and the period of development began in the poet’s career.
