Ships of the project 781(7813), dry cargo vessels of mixed ‘river-sea’ navigation, the type ‘Baltiyskiy’, were produced by several shipyards of the country from 1962 to 1968 and had the name ‘Baltic No.’ with the side number. Only the anniversary (or lead) ship, the single vessel of the Gorokhovets shipyard, received the name ‘Gorokhovets’ in 1962. The ships had the MacGregor side-rolling hatch covers, very popular in Europe. A total of 24 ships were launched.
