gifted to future Emperor Nicholas II in 1891. At that time, Tsesarevich visited the Tobolsk Provincial Museum. The album became a commemorative gift in honor of that event.
The model is made of semi-silvered papier-mâché. It reproduces in full the entire decoration with which the original was embellished. The genuine cover was made of silver. In the middle of it there was a large oval frame, inside which a picture of the Tobolsk Museum’s building is seen. Above it there was a relief monogram of Tsesarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich; below, there are the coat of arms of Tobolsk and the date: 1891. Along the contour of the central frame, we see a commemorative inscription: “To His Imperial Highness, Successor Tsesarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich on July 10, 1891”.
