The exposition of the Urazovo Local History Museum includes two paintings by the artist Anastasia Mokrousova: ‘Summer Time’ and ‘Winter’s Fairy-Tale’. She presented them to the opening of a new exposition in the Urazovo Local History Museum in 2005.
Anastasia Mokrousova was born in 1979 in the settlement of Urazovo, Belgorod Region, where she currently resides. In 1998 she graduated from the Moscow Extramural People’s University of Arts. There, the aspiring artist studied at the faculty of easel painting and graphics. For many years Anastasia Mokrousova worked as a teacher of additional education at the Urazovo House of Children’s Art. She is currently a contract soldier, but continues to paint.
The artist has mastered various painting techniques: oil, gouache, and also watercolor. However, sometimes she uses several techniques at the same time to implement the author’s idea. Landscape is the main genre in Mokrousova’s work. Bright paintings emerge from the artist’s brush. She often depicts nature during the summer season because she likes to fill her paintings with sunshine. These works are filled with love for their native nature, it is no coincidence that Anastasia Mokrousova has many canvases dedicated to the Oskol River, which flows through the entire Belgorod region.
More than once paintings by Anastasia Mokrousova participated in exhibitions at the Urazovo Local History Museum. She dedicated one of her exhibitions to the works of the great Russian poet Sergey Yesenin.

In the painting ‘Summer Time’, the artist depicted the Oskol River — flat, with a calm movement of waters, which with its soft curves washes the hilly banks. Also on the canvas you can see small cozy groves, which are located along the banks of the Oskol River. They are filled with dim sunlight and coolness.
When depicting the sky in the painting ‘Summer Time’ Anastasia Mokrousova used transparent paints to reflect small ripples of clouds, which convey the atmosphere of a warm summer day. Such clear and sonorous colors convey to the audience the beauty of Russian nature.
