Tombstones are the history of man and humanity, the spirit of the past. Their purpose is to preserve the good memory of the deceased for future generations, because, fortunately, since ancient times people were close to such feelings as duty, memory of relatives and friends.

The tombstone located in the Boguchansky Museum is a solid piece of stone with an embossed ritual inscription in the Old Slavic language, the inscription is partially readable: “Ekimov, he was 78 years old, died 1812, April 21 days.” The stone is rectangular in shape, the sides and corners are uneven. The upper edge on the right is chipped off. Because of the chips, the letters of the inscription are lost. On the surface of the stone along the right and left sides there is a pattern in the form of a rope.
