Prokhor suddenly fell seriously ill, and nobody, not even his family, hoped for his recovery. In the most difficult time of his illness, Prokhor saw the Most Holy Mother of God in a dream vision, who promised to visit him and heal him from his illness. Upon waking, he told his mother about this vision. Indeed, soon during one of the processions, the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of the Sign was being carried through the city of Kursk — along the street where the Moshnins lived. A heavy rain began to fall. When crossing to another street, likely to shorten the route and avoid the mud, the procession went through the yard of the Moshnins’ home. Seizing the opportunity, Agafiya brought her sick son into the yard, placed him before the miraculous icon, and held him under its protection. It was noticed that from that moment on, Prokhor began to recover and soon completely healed.
