The exposition of the Urazovo Local History Museum includes a photograph of the Church of the Icon of Our Lady of the Sign. 

In addition to the Church of the Holy Sign-painter, there were three more churches in the settlement of Urazovo until 1917. The church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, built in 1884, and the church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord, built in 1863, which were destroyed at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Material from the temples was used to build the airfield.

The Church of St. John the Baptist was built at the end of the 19th century at the expense of the wealthy Kiryanov brothers. It is known that one of them, Alexander, was the headman of this temple for more than 36 years. In the Soviet times, the temple was closed and used as a grain warehouse. In the mid-1970s, the collective farm no longer needed a warehouse, and the temple was planned to be destroyed. But for the Urazovo residents this shrine was very dear. The building was renovated, and by 1988 the exposition of the branch of the Belgorod Regional Local History Museum, which was here until 2000, was located in the church building. Five years later, the restored the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist was consecrated by Archbishop John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol. To create the museum, materials of Anatoly Shevchenko, a local historian, history teacher of the Urazovo incomplete secondary school were used. Residents of the settlement and the region, as well as schoolchildren, actively participated in replenishing the museum with exhibits.
