Olga Rozanova was one of the most gifted representatives of the avant-garde. She was a graphic artist, painter, and master of decorative and applied art. Rozanova studied at Konstantin Yuon’s Moscow studio.

The artist, like most of her contemporaries, went through a period of fascination with Primitivism and abstract painting, where, in her opinion, the colour, texture, and dimensions of an object can attain their maximum expression.
