Andrey Nedosekov was born in 1911 in the village of Nikolskoye, Shebekino district, into a large peasant family. He graduated with honors from a seven-year school and entered the courses of agronomists in Rylsk, the Kursk region. Then, there were chairmen courses in Shebekino and a meeting with his future wife — Antonina Sapelina.

After completing his studies, Andrey Nedosekov worked as an agronomist and then as the chairman of the collective farm “Pobeda” [“Victory”] in his home village. At the end of the 1930s, he was called up for military service for the first time; he was in the Soviet-Finnish War, and then, he returned to his family, to Nikolskoye.

In the summer of 1941, Nedosekov headed off to war again: he served as the squad commander and the assistant commander of communications platoon of the 6th Fighter Brigade, and then commanded the communications platoon of GHQ reserve headquarters battery of the 10th separate guards anti-tank artillery brigade.

In July 1942, Nedosekov saw action in sanguinary battles near the village of Petropavlovka. The Soviet troops faced the task to fight a delaying action and throw back the enemy back. The territory passed over from hands to hands, but eventually, our soldiers captured the village, and the Germans retreated to the right bank of the Don. Later this bridgehead became the jump-off line for counterattack of the Soviet troops. For the battles near Petropavlovka, the senior sergeant Andrey Nedosekov was awarded a medal “For Battle Merit”. Then, in the spring of 1944, for the battles near Ternopil, he received the Order of the Red Star.

In February 1945, the Soviet troops reached the Oder River. At night, the Germans made an attack on the bridgehead from three sides, and the battalion, defending the village was surrounded. The soldiers were under sustained fire, and communication with the command was constantly failed. The communications officer Nedosekov personally eliminated 10 line breaks, but during one of the raids, he was killed. There were only three months until the end of the war.

Nedosekov was buried in a mass grave of the Soviet soldiers in the city of Olawa, in Poland. He was posthumously awarded the Order of The Patriotic War of the 1-st Class for the battles on the Oder River.
