The exhibition “Shebekino District: Milestones of History” tells about the history of the region in different periods: from the early Middle Ages, which is represented by a silver mirror and an iron stylus, to the paintings of famous artists of the 19th — 20th centuries and military artifacts.
Among the exhibits are old photographs, documents, awards, banknotes, and products of Shebekino enterprises. For example, at the exhibition, one can see the last “peacetime” issue of the district newspaper “Plamya” [“Flame”] dated June 21, 1941, a banknote of 1910 with the portrait of Empress Catherine II and a package of laundry detergent “Astra”.
The exhibition also includes paintings by famous Russian artists: Vasily Polenov, Alexey Stepanov, Robert Falk, Isaak Brodsky, Mikhail Pyrin, Georgy Ryazhsky, Valentina Kosmina, and other painters.
