It is hard to overestimate the role of the supply during a war, because the sufficiency of all the resources depends on it — food, clothes, shoes, ammunition for the soldiers, medication for doctors, fuel for vehicles, etc. Twenty-two-year-old private Lyudmila Valentinovna Pobedinskaya started her military duty in the Red Army on 19 August 1942 as a member of the 422nd Rifle Division (81st Guards Division). She occupied the post of the clerk-typist of the division Administration and Planning office. She was managing the material well-being of the unit and secret documents.
In December 1943 Starshina Lyudmila Pobedinskaya became the Assistant Director of the Administration and Planning office. She managed the transporting logistics, material well-being of the soldiers, sustainable material and technical supply of the units, medical evacuation. She took part in the Battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, in the Kharkov liberation, in the assault-crossing of the Dnieper, in the battles in the north of Romania and near Budapest, in the Austria and Czechoslovakia liberation.
