The permanent exhibition of the Rusanov House Museum is dedicated to the polar expeditions of the famous explorer, their scientific and practical value. Five expeditions to Novaya Zemlya (1907–1911) made it possible to compile accurate and detailed maps of this northern archipelago and contributed to making it part of Russia.
A significant part of the exhibition is devoted to studying the circumstances and searching for traces of Vladimir Rusanov’s last expedition which left to study the Northern Sea Route. Among the exhibits there are materials from the polar expedition of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, the expedition of the Adventure travel club and others.
Museum visitors can get acquainted with a section dedicated to the life of the peoples of the North, as well as the memorial part of the exhibition, which gives an idea of the life in the cities in the late 19th— early 20th centuries.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
