The foreign art collection of the Primorye Art Gallery houses around 500 paintings, drawings, statues, and works of decorative and applied arts, with exhibits representing both Western European and Eastern art. Although it may not seem much, especially compared to the total number of exhibits in the gallery’s collection, these works of Western European art are of great interest to both connoisseurs and a wider audience. They demonstrate the main art movements that developed in Europe over several centuries.
The Western European section of the exhibition is represented by the works of Italian, German, Flemish, Dutch, and French artists painted between the 15th and the early 20th centuries. It also houses some paintings by English, Belgian, Spanish, Norwegian, and Swiss artists.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
