The permanent exhibition “Yamal: the Past and the Present” is dedicated to the fauna and ethnography of the region. The first part tells about animals, some species of which are included in the Red Book of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. In total, about 26 species of animals live in Yamal, in particular, reindeer and polar bears, and 110 species of birds: Siberian Crane, Bean Goose, Coot and others.
