The exhibition “Eternal Glory to Borodino!” was created for the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Borodino, which was celebrated in 2012. The exhibition recreates the historically authentic image of the Battle of Borodino.
The museum introduces over 2,000 archaeological finds that witnessed the “Battle of the Giants”. Among the exhibits are the original carriage of the commander-in-chief of the Russian army Mikhail Golenishchev-Kutuzov and his personal belongings, a painting by the English artist Laslett John Pott “The Retreat of the French Army from Moscow”.
A set of surgical instruments, autographs of emperors Alexander I and Napoleon Bonaparte, His Serene Highness Prince Mikhail Golenishchev-Kutuzov, uniforms, weapons, portraits, and battle paintings are displayed in the museum. The exhibition “Eternal Glory to Borodino!” is located in the main building of the museum, near the Raevsky Redoubt.
