Masterpieces from Radishchev Museum Collection

The exhibition Masterpieces from Radishchev Museum Collection includes selected pictures of Russian and international masters from the museum’s collection.

The exhibition consists of several rooms. Room 1 features works of Alexei Bogolyubov and the artists who were from his close circle: Ivan Kramskoy, Ilya Repin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Isaac Levitan and others. Room 2 highlights canvases of European painters of the 15th to the 19th century, and Room 3 is dedicated to Saratov’s art life at the time of the museum’s opening.

The basis of the Radishchev Museum collection was comprised by Bogolyubov’s contributions, and part of the exhibits were transferred from the Imperial Hermitage and the State Museum Fund.
