The collection of paintings presented in the halls of the picture gallery of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum Reserve allows you to trace the evolution of Russian fine art from the 18th to the beginning of the 20th century. Most of the works on display entered the museum after the nationalisation of the Andreyevskoye, Fetinino and Muromtsevo estates, whose owners were well-known collectors.

#5
Большая часть экспонируемых работ попала в музей после национализации имений Андреевское, Фетинино и Муромцево, владельцы которых были известными коллекционерами.
#6
At the exhibition, you can see works by both popular painters: Savrasov and Shishkin, Vasnetsov and Polenov, — and not the most famous artists these days, who, however, occupy an important place in the history of Russian art.
#7
Visitors will learn many interesting stories about the artists, the characters of their portraits — prominent politicians, scientists and artists — and Russian ancient mansions and estates.
#8
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
