Orthodox Legacy

The museum has a permanent exhibition Orthodox Legacy containing early-printed religious books, samples of religious painting, copper and wooden icons, folding icons, crosses and crucifixion pendants of the 17th — early 20th centuries. The exhibition displays samples of artisan work of Siberian craftsmen and tells about their ways of living, creative manner and techniques.

There are samples of Stroganov School, Kolyvan iconography shops and copper casting of the old-believers. Among them, there are replicas of such famous icons as Our Lady of Kazan and Virgin Mary of Vladimir, rare pilgrim cross made of mother-of-pearl (Crucifixion of the Christ), Suzun painted icon Michael the Archangel and others.
