The exhibition of the Penza Literature Museum demonstrates the history of Russian literature and its connection with the Penza land through the stories about the life and work of famous writers. Visitors can find out how Russian writers contributed to the life of the Penza Governorate between the late 18th century and the 20th century, how much time they spent there, and how Penza’s life was reflected in their works.
The exhibition includes lifetime editions and autographs of writers, manuscripts, original illustrations, documents, books from the secondary school’s library, foreign language editions, magazines of the 19th and 20th centuries, and memorabilia, including furniture, household items, and personal belongings. There is also a collection of unique exhibits illustrating different periods, styles, and trends in the history of decorative and applied art.
In these bright halls adorned with girandoles,
candelabras, and sofas, one can really feel the 19th century.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
