The exposition ‘From the Permian Period to the Present Day’ covers the period of the history of the KAma region from ancient times to the 80s of the XX century. The exposition features over 2000 exhibits.
The exhibition opens with a room dedicated to the history of the establishment of the museum, its founders and researchers. The following rooms immerse you in the atmosphere of the ancient history of the region: the Permian geological period, the era of settlement and development of the Upper KAma region by man. Most of the exposition is devoted to salt production as the ground of the wealth of the region and the role of the StrOganov in the development of Perm lands.
Soviet history is represented by the history of the discovery of the VerkhnekAmsk potash deposit and the construction of the BereznikI Chemical Integrated Plant. The exhibits tell about the construction of the town of BereznikI, its development during the war years and the post-war five-year plans.
