BereznikI History and Art Museum named after Ivan KonovAlov was founded in 1925.
The museum collection that counts more than 147,000 items includes 44 collections of federal and regional significance. The most significant of them are collections of rare books in Cyrillic editions of the 17th — early 20th centuries, collections of icon painting from the StrOganov and NevYAnsk schools, icons by the masters of the Armory, items of wooden sculpture and small worship figurines; as well as collections of archeology, music libraries, numismatics, works of serf artists of the 19th century and much more.
The town’s museum complex unites the Berezniki History and Art Museum, the Alkonost Museum of Book Culture and Literary Life of the Upper Kama Region, and the Golitsyn Estate — an architectural monument of the first third of the 19th century.
