Urals Museum of History and Archaeology presents the main exposition of Sverdlovsk Regional Ethnography Museum. The exhibition is located in six halls, each of which introduces the history of the Urals land from the Stone Age to the days Great Patriotic War.

The exhibition represents collection of unique archaeological findings and among them is the Big Shigorski idol which is the most ancient wooden sculpture in the world. This exhibition is a reminder of a bright era of conquest of Siberia and development of the Urals factories in the 18th-19th centuries.

Guests of the museum will see a portrait of Yermak on an iron sheet and the largest collection of factory coal caves. One of the halls is devoted to Russia during the era of Nicholas II reign. The exposition shows a fireplace from the house of engineer Ipatiev in the basement of which the imperial family perished.
