The main exhibition of the museum-reserve of Nikolay Nekrasov “Karabikha” is called “Do not be afraid of bitter oblivion…”. It is dedicated to the time Nikolay Alexeyevich spent in the Karabikha estate. The collection is housed in two buildings — the Manor House and the East Wing.
The exhibition recreates the atmosphere of the Nekrasovs’ hasteless life at the estate in the second half of the 19th — early 20th century. The halls show household items of that period, family relics and personal belongings of the poet.
The private rooms of Nikolay
Alexeyevich in the East Wing are a memorial exhibition dedicated to his life
and work in Karabikha. The main themes that help to reveal all the aspects of
the poet’s personality are his tastes and habits, his search for his way in
literature and society.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
