The permanent exposition of European fine art of the 15th — 20th centuries appeared in 2014, when the Irbit Museum of Fine Arts opened the Engraving and Drawing Museum branch in a new building. The exhibition is composed of items from the museum’s main collection — Masters of Engraving and Drawing of the 15th — 20th Centuries. Europe and Russia.
The exposition introduces the development of European graphics and painting over five centuries — from the Renaissance to Art Nouveau. The exhibition presents Rubens’s original The Repentant Mary Magdalene, one of the largest and rarest engravings in the world The Crowning with Thorns by François Langot, etchings by Rembrandt, Anthony van Dyck and other European artists. Many sheets and paintings are in Russia in a single copy.
