The “History in Artifacts” exhibition of the Zheleznodorozhny Local Lore is located in four permanent exhibition halls: the Hall of Nature, the Hall of History, the Hall of Military Glory and the Kuchinsky Hall.
The exhibition presents objects of decorative and applied art, turn-of-the-century souvenirs, objects of peasant and urban life, rare watches by famous Russian and European watch manufacturers, as well as a picturesque diorama by the artists Ivan Nikolayevich and Pyotr Nikolayevich Prikhodko, depicting the construction of the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod railway.
The museum’s exhibits include
many interesting photographs from the beginning of the 20th century,
which depict workers and employees of the Obiralovka station — telegraph
operators, clerks, controllers and conductors — and the head of the railway
station, nobleman Ivan Nikolayevich Tsvetkov.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
