The exhibition ‘The History of Krasnodar Krai’ is dedicated to the Kuban Cossacks culture and daily life, as well as the key historic events: the resettlement to the Kuban lands, the foundation of Yekaterinodar (modern Krasnodar) and the celebration of the Kuban Cossacks 200th anniversary in 1896.
Among the exhibits, one can see a letter by Catherine the Great granting the right to live in Kuban to the Cossacks, the genuine papers of Prince Grigory Potemkin-Tavrichesky, military regalia, and military uniform items. The visitors of the exhibition will also get to know the nature of Krasnodar Krai and learn, for example, how the Caucasian wisent looks, where red deer live and what birds are common in the Kuban estuaries.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
